I've always used a razor blade with good luck. Run the razor over a piece of sand paper first (kinda like sharpening a knife) dulling it just a little to keep it from digging into the paint but still sharp enough to run through the silicone. Be sure to dull the corners. Then use a good silicone/adhesive remover for the last little bit that may be left after the razor. Good luck and I hope that helps.

Use a product called DeBond. Just look on their website to order it if there is no dealer in your area. It will not hurt the paint, but a slip with the razor blade certainly will. I have used debond for years with great success.
