What a F'n Day so far today.

Wife gets in a wreck with the new vehicle (luckily she is ok) Been arguing with the insurance all day, and decide to say F it, and go home.

Start polishing the boat.
I get to the bottom and notice the front 2 feet of the keel is down to fiberglass. No gel at all. Looks like its been this way for awhile. Not sure how I missed it when I bought the boat. I have NEVER put any boat I have owned on the beach, so I assume its 1 of 2 things.

either the previous seller did (doubt ful, he didn't seem that type)

or its rubbing on the trailer during loading/unloading.

can I try the spectrum kit as a temporary fix for the summer? I am kinda tapped for $$ right now, but also don't want a bigger problem down the road either.

No signs of other damage, or blistering. boat is a 02 280 velocity.

Expensive Date

Is it smooth? If its rough then its hitting the trailer,if not probably from beaching or a soft grounding.I am not a glass guy but as a temporary you could probably lightly sand it and just spray some gel on it.

smooth. I think the its rubbing on the bow roller, but not 100% sure.


The more I thought I about i decided to make an appt to get it fixed. She gets dropped off tomorrow.
