Thanks for the link, looks like uscomposites has a great selection. Do you use epoxy or polyester when making repairs to the floor, stringers, ect.

Thanks,
Speed

Agree. It isn't rare, extremely cool, or different. Just scavenge parts and get something else.

its actually better if they are really bad, comes out easier. Small boats like that aren't to bad to strip out and prep for new structural. I've gutted twenty footers and had them prepped and ready for new wood in about a day (transom and stringers). I take a large diamond tile saw blade and put it on my Metabo cutter. Works great but protect, yourself use leather gloves, full face shield and be careful. I end up using a combination of sawzall and diamond circular to get everything out. I dont think i would bother with epoxy for the job but i would definitely use vinylester for just a few more bucks over poly.

Dave thanks for the info.

Guys I do agree this boat is not worth the effort and has morphed into a hell of a project. Way more than I wanted it to. I picked up the boat to practice on redoing the interior and hopefully make a buck that thought has long sailed…… as it turns out I’m practicing on all parts of boat refurbishing at a loss was not my plan but unless I can find a home for the motor and drive guess I’m stuck. . …….anyone know of a nice solid 18-19’ boat that needs nothing but the motor and drive.

May have found a boat for the motor and drive but it originally had an OMC. Anyone know if a hull cut for an OMC would work with a Mercruiser?
