Default Cost to have a 21 foot Scarab painted?

Thinking of buying a winter project boat that will need to be painted, top and bottom. The old paint is faded and peeling. I searched online and only found thousands of articles on how to paint it yourself. I've painted cars before and although they came out good, i really hate all the sanding and prep work. I would rather do the mechanical work my self and pay a shop to paint it. Anybody have any ball park prices? The cost of the paint work will affect my decision on whether or not to buy this boat.

Thanks

Also, i searched through the forums and saw a lot of guys getting vinyl wraps for there boats. This might be an option for me. The boat is white and dark blue right now, can vinyl go over the blue or would it need to be painted white first?

from the hard chine up for a boat in average condition and fully de rigged would be in the 4500 to 5500 range just off the top of my head. Deck and hull in white PPG Concept single stage fully buffed.

You will easily put thousands in. How much depends on what it needs, what you do & what medium (paint or wrap) that you use, what products or type/brand of paint or wrap as well as your graphic scheme. The simpler it is , usually the lest costly it is. The sky can be the limit.. Jamie / Lakeside
