Gel Coating a Cast Iron clawfoot Bathtub
Just curious if anybody here has used gel coat to refinish a cast iron bathtub. Ive refinished a few with Imron and they have held up pretty well, but want to try gel coat. Any opinions?

hmmm . . . . never tried anything like that but my experience with any type of metal, surface or solid, is that you will most likely have adhesion problems. The different thermal cycling will probably eventually break any bond.

back in the day featherfill was the chit to use on cars when doing resto's..it was polyester based and was used on metal..if you use the proper primer i wouldnt see why it wouldn't work..
