Best tool for cutting fiberglass
Donor boat I brought home yesterday, worthless hull that will eventually get dumped. I'm thinking I might just "section" out the transom to make pulling the engine/drive an easy pick, all in one piece.
So, chainsaw, Sawzall, circular saw, cutoff wheel....which one will be effective with minimal itch & mess?
Thanks,
Michael

I use all of the above. I would start with the chainsaw,it will destroy the blade. My second would be the sawzall. I use a stihl demo saw now when I cut up a boat. Its akll messy so wear a dust mask and long sleeves, have fun

I use a Stihl concrete partner saw with a diamond blade that makes real short work out of anything. I also use a circular saw with a cheapy diamond blade i got from Harbor Freight that works pretty good. Like Duck said you will probably need some combination of what you have listed I also keep a sawzall handy for corners i cant dive the big blade into. Avoid the chainsaw the chain will be trashed very quickly and really isnt suited for that kind of material removal. Diamond blades leave way less mess as well.
