Default How to repair small holes in the transom?

How and with what do you fill screw holes in the transom that will be underwater. I also have two low water pick ups that were previously filled and have now cracked in a circle around the repaired hole. Can you just use a filler for the screw holes or will they crack out around the hole. What would be the best way to fix these screw holes and repair the low water pick up cracks? Not worried about matching the color right now just want it sealed from water intrusion. Thanks

I would say West System epoxy 404 from my research. If the holes are larger you can use small dowel pins and use the epoxy around them.

If you use a the 404 or something compatable it might not be a bad idea to use like a counter sink bit or dremel tool to lay the out side surface area of the holes back a little. I would also try and go just one size bigger than the holes with a drill bit carefully just so you get into good clean material. You could even inject the 404 with a syringe to make sure you get it all the way in but probably will have to be quick before it starts to harden off. On the other area I would almost treat it the same and just don't plan to get it the first swipe block sanding btwn coats.

I have a bunch of old screw holes that I need to take care of also and will be facing the same thing here shortly.

No cloth is needed over the water pickup hole cracks? Can the 404 be gelcoated over?
