Nice stuff Dave ! Here is a pic of my 71 T/A 455 HO 4 speed . My UPS driver knows I'm into cars and informs me about a as he put " a mid 70's T/A" so I called the number he gave and it turns out to be a 71 T/A blue on blue 455 HO - 4 speed. 8 track matching numbers with 45 on it . In 2004 I paid 4500 knowing it was one of 83 made and in orig paint knew it was a homerun . I pulled subframe to detail engine and trans , Gardner EX , new lines , installed subframe and sold it in orig paint ( checked but orig ) for 33 k on e-bay . When the guy came over he also bought this 70 GTO shell for 10 K. I had a total of 9 k in T/A It came with Honeycomb rims as well as orig spare H/C never on gound , I installed 5-spoke for the month I had it but sold with orig rims

That TA is awesome and what a great find! I went through a GTO phase back in the 90's had a 70 and a 72 conv 400 4spd that car that was one of about three hundred. Even had a 74 GTO (ventura style) that had a 400 with the shaker hood and a hatch back lol. Was actually a pretty rare car as well, kinda wish I kept the 72.

yea some of these things never seem to leave lol. I actually stopped doing the car stuff because a lot of the frame off stuff i was doing was pre war or late fortys and my customer base was aging and shrinking. The bulk of my car stuff was with a small group of very serious collectors, the one guy i did the Buicks and the T&C for i also did a 34 Lincoln KA, 49 Buick Roadmaster conv, 41 Caddy conv, 1910 Caddy etc, as well as maintained about fifteen cars, it was a lot of fun working with him and he really enjoyed his cars i actually mis working with this perticular customer the most. I had another collector that i did a 53 Skylark, 41 Chev truck, 29 A rodster PU, 41 Buick Super Con. etc. Also had a local buisness man throwing big money at me for several years building street rods, fun stuff Unfortunatly most of those pics are on actual film lol. I enjoy boats and those customer a bit more though and it really is my main pasion. Dont get me wrong my car guys were great just different thats all. They all paid pretty good never really had to many problems there.

My TA is the same color blue (for now) i may change that. I did this Camaro for myself several years ago and was an eye opener on how great fuel injection is.

I was with a different team racing back then, i joined Ed around 07. But yea i was there in something i think, might have been a batboat. you were there huh

sorry for the highjack coolmedown . . . . . sometimes it just happens
