Scratches on bottom.
We were visiting a new area yesterday and ran aground pretty hard. Lots of scratches in the gel. Not beyond it but you can feel them. They run length wise. Will this hurt the way the boat runs? What is recommended to fill this lines in.
Thanks

depending on how deep they are you may be able to sand and rub them. What i usually do on a clients boat i will put some dykem blue imaging fluid diluted with acetone and wipe it on the scratches. This will make the area easier to see kinda like a tracer coat .Then i will da them out with 400 & 800 grit paper but be careful you don`t burn thru the gel. Gel is only so thick. That is why this is usually a good job for the proffesionals

Thanks for all the help. Wish I could do it myself but it's beyond me.
