Penske board or wood ?
Was doing crane work today at Goetz composites in Bristol ri they where nice enough to show me around the shop and show me different boat building materials and now I'm wondering why people replace rotted wood with wood ???

usually cost is what keeps people away from composite panels and they also require a premium resin system which adds to cost (VE at a minimum). I love the stuff I use both Coosa and Space Age Comp (both nearly identical products) its soooooo much easier to work with over wood. I will say this though I'm still not sold on composite transoms on high load high performance boats. I've seen to many develop compression issues over time. if I do do a transom in composite it three layers of half with full laminations in between.
Goetz has some pretty cool preducts, thinking about switching to one of their VE core bonds.
