they do look handy. I have thought of doing one but not necessarily a roll through. I want to build something like a tube that I can put rolls of tabbing in or on say 6" by ten or fifteen feet or so around an arbor that would go into a larger tube like vessle or even just a bag. Then I would use vac infusion to saturate it right on the roll. it could be made simple enough that much of it would be standard consumables. zero moving parts and not a whole lot to clean

You got me thinking Dave, Maybe some PVC tube ? Roll tabbing on tube with holes around it and caps on the ends. Bag the Outside and pull the vacuum on the inner tube . Then you could just un cap the tube and knock out the cured resin.

Would that work or am I missing something?
I'm all about fast easy and cleaner! And with the price of Resins you could save on wasted materials to.

thats kinda on par with what i was thinking. It really wouldnt have to be a big tube either maybe an inch and a half pvc with holes through it then rap tubing with tabbing and bag the whole thing (or something like that lol). I was also thinking you could also do a fully sealed system based on fabric weight, throw all the stuff in a bag and draw it down. Problem with a properly infused fabric is the ratio is to lean for open air, you would need something in the fifty fifty range to keep from drying out the fabric once exposed to one atmosphere. I think it could all se done with fairly cheap consumables that just get pitched in the end (although thats not a very green method we are still talking limited use)

This is something I'd like to stay tuned and even involved with and perhaps come up with something myself. I love broadening my mind with this kinda stuff. This pvc thought has my mind racing.
