IMCO 2" Shorter Lowers on a Formula 272SR1?

Has anyone tried the IMCO 2" shorter lowers on an older Formula? What were the results? I am thinking of installing them on a 1989 Formula 272 SR1 with twin 454mags (carb) and wondering what sort of improvements to expect.
