mattress done and Formula parking
I finished the mattress and put it in the boat...turned out most excellent.
5" of Duraflex firm foundation foam topped with 1.25" viscoelastic memory foam, wrapped in Dacron...glued constuction.
I covered it in an inexpensive polycotton for now...till I can find a quilted material I like, and a seamstress to sew up a custom cover.
I was gonna go two layers of the polycotton to get away from the "feel" of the Dacron...but I'll have a jersey sheet on it anyway for sleeping...so that oughta do it.

Think about the Concierge Storage Business with all that space--guy here is doing it and calls the place Big Boy Toy Storage. Good deal for everybody. He does detailing, provisioning, repairs and inside or outside storage.
Has a waiting list.

Rip,
I'm getting ready to build a 40x60 at my lake house and keep the boats there. I'm in the process of geting bids on stick built and steel buildings. I'd personally prefer a stick built. Any input on pros and cons? What do you think the bids will come in at. I think 30k for a steel without any frills.

there's a layer of Dacron wrap (the white stuff) on the top and sides of the new one also for breathability and to soften the edges.
no headroom issues in a 353.
the original pad is sitting on just the new foundation foam in the first pic.
second pic is memory foam on the 5" Duraflex (scrap example)
