Throttle cable adjustments
I am curious where and how to adjust the throttle cbales on my ride. I have an 84 272 Ls with twin 350's. One of my sticks came lose and i tightened it. it now get more throttle than the other. they aren't matched. So how do I adjust them to match and get more throw on the throttle end. I think some of my top end problems are because its not getting full throttle. One tach will read almost 5000 rpm's and the other is in the 4300-4500 range. But they are showing synched by my meter. Its the handle that I tightened that gets more rpm's now and more throw. any suggestions?

Re: Throttle cable adjustments
Though I haven't adjusted it this way, the book says to put the throttle stick to full wide open, and then adjust the linkage at the carb so it is full wide open also. This way you know for sure it can open all the way.
Not sure about your engines saying they are synced, yet the RPM's are way off. Maybe a bad tach or ground?

thanks jaybird, i am going to try that adjustment in the next couple days I will let you know how it go's. I hope it may be a loose ground not ready for new tach's yet.
