New Forumla 382 Owner
Hi,
As of today, I'm the official owner of a 2001 Formula 382. I bought Lonestar382's boat. I'm in Phoenix and the boat is in Dallas. I'm probably going to bring it to Phx on the 17th. I test drove it before Thanksgiving and it was great.
Thanks everyone for the questions answered and advice. I'll be back with more you can bet.

Corey told me that he didn't think it had the optimal props when I initially talked to him about the boat. After talking to a few people and the folks at Extreme Marine, I decided to have Extreme Marine (near Dallas) dial it in and get the best props on it. Mike Flowers at Extreme Marine really knows this stuff and has been successful dialing in other big boats. I talked to him for over an hour when I was there about how he got started in boats and how he learned so much about propulsion. It is a very interesting story with some very interesting experiences on his part. I'll try to post some of it later when I have more time. Plus the guy is very straight forward and willing to take the time to explain the 'why' about stuff. I like that since I want to know why something works not just that it does.
I was going to pick it up this weekend but the below freezing weather in Dallas is preventing them from getting it on the water to do the testing they want to do. Hopefully, this weekend they will be able to get it on the water some more.

I guess its time to get the "powers that be" to change my name to Lonestar38ZX. Congrats on the boat Garrett, I know that you will love it. I'll keep you posted as to the progress on dialing in this coming weekend.

Congrats on the new boat.
I am also having a 2004 formula 382 delivered this coming Wed. It has light speed graphics, 525's and fully loaded. Cant wait because this will be my first formula.
