Default Maximus on 382

I ordered a set of 15 1/4" 28p Maximus for the 382 today, should have them in time for the first splash this season in a couple of weeks. I'm chomping at the bit to get the boat out and running again
I'll keep everybody posted on the performance numbers as soon as I get them dialed.

They are Mercury 5 blade props. Supposed to improve slip without killing top end. In some cases even improving top speed.

The #1 best improvement to a 382 Fastech is to go to Maximus props.Performance all around over 4 blade Bravo I's is really amazing.

Any info on the props? I have a 382 and have tried several props and can't do any better than the original 28" bravo's. I have not tried maximus props yet.

Magicfloat, Do you think a set of Maximus props would do anything for my 353sport w/ 496mag HO's currently running 4 blade 28p from the factory.....ERIK

I tested a set of 28 Maximus' on my 353 (600 HP or so) Big diameter 15 5/8". All I can say is WOW. The cruise speeds and acceleration was nothing like I've ever felt in a boat. Sent them out to BBlades to get labbed, should be back in another week or so. Check out my test video!

Maximus test

Click on Maximus test. Note: I was only able to spin the large diameter prop to 5000-5100 where as the motors will run up to 5600-6000! That's why they are at BBlades.
