Differences between 311 & 336
What are the differences between the 311 and the 336? I know about the swim platform being integrated, but what else?
I really like the classic lines of the older 272, 292, 311 and 357 series. I need some of ya'll to "sell" me on the newer stuff!

Well, the 336 is now sort of the 353, stepped hull, nicer interior (LESS HEADROOM), more efficent hull design. The 336 seems to be rare for some reason, I now a guy who had one and it was a real nice boat...I just got my 353sport Fastech, w/496ho's, been taking it easy to break it in right. Saw72mph @4400rpms, 1/2tank,4pob,84degrees,salt,sea level, pretty flat ! Not too bad !!!! Sounds to me like you are a 336 man, if you can find one. Happy hunting! ERIC

The 336 has more than the newer 353, due to the stepped hull in the 353. The 353 will go faster however....E

Re: Differences between 311 & 336
my 312 has 4'7'' headroom....the 353 has 4'8''. Your 292 doesn't have that info listed in the Formula 1989 brochure archives......

Re: Differences between 311 & 336
If you spend enough time in the Formula brochure archives you will find what the headroom is in the 292, 311, 336, and 357.

Re: Differences between 311 & 336
Looked at a 92 336 yesterday.. That boat looks real tall to me .. It was sitting next to a 292 and the sun pad was a foot higher than the 292.
Was / is the 336 an extra large model or something ?
