hatch hinge...over or under????
finally found a recommended shop to do the interior in a timely manner, does the hatch hinge go under the fiberglass shell so you could see the hinge when its open or on the top under the interior pieces so you can't see it??? I just want it done correctly !!!

Re: hatch hinge...over or under????
the hinges goes under the hatch and yes you can see them when hatch is open. But you have, underneath the foam of your hatch, a little piece of metal half inche by 3 inches, with 2 bolts that goes through the wood and also through the fiberglass of the hatch. So don't forget to put them back before the foam and your leather. I had the 2 bolts spot welded on the kind of metal washer so they would not turn inside the foam when I would screw the nuts underneath the hatch... Hope it helps...
