382 Cruise Speed ?
I am curious to know for those who run a 382 with 500's as to what your cruising speed is and at what RPM's. Also what props to you run.
I have Bravo 1's 4 blade 28P and at 3500 RPM's I run at 42 MPH off the GPS reading.

34 pitch 4 blade braovs that have been cupped big time!!!! Motors are supposed to turn 5,500 but I've only spun them to 4,800. We were heavy on fuel, water, 5 days worth of gear (long trip) and pulled 82 on GPS. Was told the boat did 95 when it was first setup.

I have been considering going to 30P Bravo's but wanted to see what others were performing with. Thanks for the feedback

Notes I have from several years back makes me think you may be able to run 30's.The older boats were shipped with 28's,changed to 30's in 02. But prop selection is always an art,not a science. Try to borrow some 30's to try before you spend the money. Do you have Stellings boxes, good for a little extra rpm.

55 mph @ 3700; 600 Volvo/Innovations; 1:47 gear; 26.5" pitch props. The boat seems happiest over 52 mph, as the later (1999 and later) FasTechs do not have lifting strakes on the aft section of the bottom.
