Default 1989 272 weight??

What is the total package weight of an 89' 272 with trailer? Dry and wet? I'm looking to move up from my 206 and want to see if my tow vehicle will work. I drive all of 3 miles to the launch but need to make sure. Thanks!

With trailer and fuel and whatever else is usually in a boat, gotta go at least 8,000 pounds.

My 311 weighs 7,400 dry. Trailer is about 2,000 pounds. Fuel and stuff is probably another 1,000 pounds. That's 10,400 total. My 311 doesn't 2,400 more than a 272 with big blocks so, 8,000 pounds for the 272 is probably on the low side.

Someone who owns will know for sure.

Those are the numbers I assumed. Looks like I need a tow vehicle as well. Gotta love this sport!

89' 272's with a pair of Big Blocks weigh in about 7000lbs dry. I called Formula Tech support about 6 months ago. The online broacher is incorrect.

Add 129 gallons of fuel ,16 quarts of oil and a cooler full of adult beverages and your somewhere around 7900lbs.

Sounds good. The adult beverages are a must. Thanks everyone for the info.

Most of the weights are pretty close except perhaps the trailers. I assume they are steel because my 2 axle aluminum I beam is 1000 lbs.
I towed one season with a 95 2 dr Tahoe .Way to short wheelbase. Towed two more with a 99 4 dr Tahoe. Not bad but on the highway trucks and busses could still blow me around. Finally went to an F350 excab psd . Now I'm happy

Compare the wheelbase of the EX to a 'Hoe. I'm not sure it much bigger and that means ALOT. My 2dr 'Hoe was imminent suicide. Tried my wifes 4dr Yukon and didn't seem bad so I bought a 4 dr 'Hoe. Local ramps (10/15) miles not bad but I was white knuckled after a 400 mile trip to NH. Plus the fact the mountains were brutal. Ran the pizz out of the 350 engine. Before the next season I got my F350 PSD. WORLD OF DIFFERENCE . Cruise 70 all day

Shouldn't you be asking for the weight of an 1986 26' Century Mirage with trailer and twin small blocks? You will still need a new tow vehicle.
