Default Speaking of black hulls

I can't believe I've been in this storage yard for almost 2 years (with my enclosed trailer) and never came across this. A couple weeks ago I roamed around the side where my 311 sits, and about 7 spots down, hidden next to an RV, I came across this.
It's an '86 with TRS setup. A shame that it got to this...

Is that also a 311? I can not read the emblem.

I bet that is one hot swim platform!

I do like black on the hull side though!

Hey Audio, yep it's a 311.

Boomer, that's the second '86 vintage SR-1 I've seen with the thru-hull exhaust dumping on top of a black platform. I'm not sure which would be worse, frying your feet or painting it a light color and dealing with actually being able to see your exhaust all over the platform.

Thanks,
Michael

Hey Treads, I haven't looked inside myself. My dad popped up and said it's a mess. No engine cover, he said it looks like they threw furnitre in the cockpit, or maybe tore out the cabin and left it in the cockpit.
As for the hull/deck, not too pretty. Lots of spider cracks and bad cosmetic issues.
I'll go by today and ask for the owner's info and see if I can touch base. If it doesn't rain I'll take more pics.
I have to admit, I'm curious as to what power it has. I've been debating whether to pull my motors out for a rebuild, or take a set of spares so it'll be a "remove and replace" deal with minimum downtown
Ya' know, here in FL we have no off-season
Will keep ya' posted,
Michael

I think it might be less work/money to take a good platform and paint it black...

Sad to see what was once a nice (and expensive) boat so far gone. I just don't understand how some people can let their equipment get so bad.
