which is exhaust sysytem is going to give me better resulys on my 292 with 6.2'. Is ite Imco or te stainless marine. Both have provisions for the corsa exhaust. i would get CMi's but then I would have to get new exhaust diverters. Also what gains can I expect by getting the ecms recalbrated::

If your at or near the rev limiter, now with the 28's, its probably gonna slow down with a 26 prop,,but like Robert said, they all react differently.

I'm very interested in hearing opinions on this as well - Exhaust upgrade (likely IMCO powerflows) is my next planned mod and I'm wondering about recalibration post-exhuast install.

Is it worth it for the 2007 season, or should I wait until 2008 when I'm planning on supercharging?

Basically lost 1.5-2.0 mph after that prop was worked on (was 71mph, now more like 69). Both props are at Mercury and I am looking to get that mph back and tweak a little more rpm since I currently top out at 5000 rpm.

You guys may be interested... In late October I took the boat out solo in cool weather, 3/4 tank fuel, pen and paper in-hand, and recorded rpm and mph (SC5000 SmartCraft) at various rpm levels to calculate prop slip. Here they are:

3400 rpm 42 mph 23% slip
3800 rpm 50 mph 18% slip
4200 rpm 57 mph 16% slip
4600 rpm 63 mph 15% slip
5000 rpm 69 mph 14% slip

Anyways... I got major plans for upgrades in a few years. Right now she is at Competition Marine Center having 280S K-Planes installed...
Please let me know how the k-planes work out.

I'd like to hear how that works out as well. Do you run your boat at LOTO? If so, we should hook up sometime and compare notes

Will do guys! Talked to CMC yesterday. They got the tabs and pumps mounted. Have to do some glass work where the Bennett rams were mounted and the mechanical indicator feed through. Sounds like I will be picking it up next week. Will start another thread and post pics (didn't mean to hijack this one...)

Most of our boating is on the Mississippi River. Keep it on a lift at Lake Center Marina. We are spending a week on Table Rock Lake this summer. Last year towed it to Lake Erie. Big water and a lot of fun and one of the reasons the K-Planes are being installed!

I know who you are now. The Washington MO thing was throwing me off, but I remember seeing your boat several times last year on the river. We run the river as well. Our 292 has the teal, orange, and blue sanibel graphic. If I was not such a cheapskate, I'd be able to post a pic......I tried to catch you at Cedar Hill one time last year, but you guys were already pulling out. See ya on the river this summer!

Cool! I remember seeing yours as well. Hard to miss. Not many Fastechs on the river. Yea, we usually do lunch at Cedar Hill. It won't be long before we are back on the river. Hopefully spring won't bring too much rain. Usually if the river is up we go to Iowa Island just south of the powerlines. After it drops we hit Hat or Turkey Island. We'll keep an eye out for you!
