Default Mercury 600 vs. 700

Where exactly does the extra 100 hp come from. Any good, reliable mods out there for 600's to boost them up a little closer to the performance of 700's?

I don't know but if you find anything out please try to get the torque numbers for these motors too. I'm real curious what they make.

Seems a cam and pulley would get you there. The other items just help the engine live longer. (might be able to just make a pulley change and see what it gets you)

yup...spin the charger at more rpm's, cool the charge a little more, and put a hotter cam in there.
