XR Drive Oil
We just got new XRs for our 382. The place we got them from reccomended Redline heavy duty shock gear synthetic. Engines are 600hp which is right on the edge of what XRs can handle. What is the best gear lube to run?

From what I remember the plus side of the Merc Hi-Perf oil is that it can absorb moisture which can help save a drive if you have a leak. The synthetics such as Redline, Mobil 1, etc are a better lubricants and can help reduce wear, but don't absorb water, so you don't get that safety cushion.
Since this is drive related and not Formula specfic I'd ask in the general forum or Tech - there are some "oil heads" over there who have tried just about everything.
