Hi
here is the mail adr:
[email protected]
They answer very quick and seams to be very service minded
To day they told me that the speed on my 242 SS 1988 454 330 hp is 52 mph. Numbers from the fact sheets, the speed is not very impressive though. But I think the boat has a lot of other qualities

Thanks everyone for responding. I was hoping to get a actual name from Formula. The reason for this is my son is a 3rd year mechanical engineering student at Ohio Northern University and he is seeking a summer internship. The college is about 60 miles from the Formula factory, so the location would be ideal for him. We are life long boaters and owners of a Formula. All this would seem to make for a good fit. Having a OSO friendly employee at Formula might help his chances for an internship. Thanks again guys and I will persue the phone numbers given to me.

we could start an OSO member e-mail campaign asking the good folks at Formula to find your son something to do there next summer.
there would be some pressure on the young man to impress under these circumstances as we all would be watching...
good kid?
top grades?
excellent appearance?
you would think it would make a great story for them also!
I think any Formula owner would take even more pride in having done business with the Porters, knowing they would go so far as to offer an oppurtunity like that to a kid out of the boating community.

Thanks rippem! He's an excellent student with a passion for boating and Formula performance boats. Great work ethic and appearance. I may be biased however. Perhaps he could keep a daily blog of his experiences if he were to intern at Formula. Couldn't hurt P.R. for Formula.

I'd contact jPorter here on OSO.
Jeremy Porter is the Brand Presence Manager for Formula Boats. And of course he is a family member, so I think he might have some pull.
Good Luck,
Dave

Good luck, what a great way to spend a summer and learn a lot about this industry.
