Wow, sounds great! You may want to consider getting the ECM recalibrated to a slightly higher rev limit and keep the 28's. With the new ratio rocker and exhaust those 6.2's like the rpm. You solo in the boat may run 5300-5400 rpm and you can keep the great low end. Let us know how the high flow flame arresters work out. You can do some really easy 'before-and-after' tests by swapping them out on the fly. Thanks for the update!

I found the web site for the trim tab replacements
http://www.aspracing.com.
Check out the pics of their trim tabs. I can not figure out how they are mounted to the boat.
I will definitely buy them to get my 292 on plane faster and to maintain plane at slower speeds.

Thanks for the link. I believe that they just slide into the existing piece that is mounted to the transom, after loosening it up.

Has any one tried these tabs? I've gone to the ASP Racing website, but can not bring any pics or info up about the tabs.

This might be worth a look.
4.5 % speed increase (100 rpm) and 10 % less fuel.
All for the price of a oil change.

Default Rockers

Slight gain in HP #'s. Lost good amount of Torque. What if you run the roller 1.5's. The rollers alone should free up some Hp, and TQ.
Maybe 10. Amazing how much TQ was lost on the low end,{ TQ gets you going HP keeps you going.} May not want to go too crazy.. stock 6.2's don't come with 02 sensors, Mass airflow. The T.P.S. is programed to give "X" amount of fuel @ whatever position the throttle blade it's at. A slight change in ratio may not seem like much, but add a good exhaust w/ better cleaner; these things add up. May also need a cooler T-stat.
Changing ratios is basically a generic cam upgrade. you may want to make a few phone calls IE :Merc tech -or- Dustin @ Whipple

(Not trying to tell anybodys business you are spending a good amount of money and time. a reflash would definatly help things gel better) PLEASE keep us posted, and great luck w/ your project!!
