Default Project 353 - 1420 HP with twin 600 SCI `s

We had first sea trial with our 353 FasTEch with modified Mercury Racing 600 SCI
An Italian Company developed a Tuning Kit for the 600 SCI
We gained about 110 HP per Engine .

With stock engines an 2 inch IMCO Shorties trimmed to 6 and 32 `lab finished Maximus we saw once 93 MPH at 5250 RPM
most times 91 at 5150 RPM

First test with the same props and the boat hits the rev limiter immediatly, doesn`t matter if the drives are up or down
After Boat is on plane it just takes 5 seconds from 3000 RPM to 5450 RPM - So we ordered now bigger props to see the Triple Digits with almost stock engines
(The kit contains a Smartcraft PCM 555 Computer (Exchange or new) , Pully, Cam and gaskets)

The kit will available in the USA soon
contact Ray at Raylar for Details

www.raylarengine.com

In Europe we will distribute the kit

I will keep you updated on top speed results

Dyno Charts show stock and modified engine

All Guardian and smartcraft functions work like stock

The 600 SCI like the 700 SCI has an electronic controlled boost valve - so for Bravo Applications the torque is limited by the modified ecu up to 3900 RPM to let the Bravo drives live longer. (DRIVE SAVER)

Well this makes sence, 600 hp seemed rather reserved for the engine with that supercharger.

Thats good numbers, so you were running 93 with 711hp?

I have a friend with a 353 with procharged/carbed 509 CI running 97 gps last year, he has Imco boxes and 2" Imco shorties, we figured he was around 700 hp, must be more since it runs 97? that is with labbed 32P 4 blades, not sure on rpm, I think 5100-5200..

OK, that sounds about right from what I have seen, we figured my buddys engines make around 700-725 hp to run 97

The 5 blad would get him more top end? I figured with the 5 blade he would lose some top end, he has not done much with propping yet, he wants to get the engines dialed in first to the best, then do props. what kind of pitch do ytou think?

The Formula 353 with twin 600 SCI s comes from Factory with twin lab finished Maximus 15 1/4 diameter 31 pitch

with over 700 HP the boat should be able to turn 34 pitch
if you run 1,50 gears

little update

yesterday we tested new props

34 ` 15 1/4 lab finished Maximus

still too small for the HP

Boat is still hitting rev limiter very quick

Now we will change gear ratio to 1.35

No speed numbers from yesterday . GPS antenna has to be replaced
