Default Formula mystery water leaks !!

I found the source of all my water leaks in my 382. It would leak more in rougher water and faster speeds. The swim step supports on the transom are the locations for all the bilge pump through hulls. In rougher sea I run more tab, more tab more splash. I had another boat follow me and he observed large roosts of water blasting the underside of the area that all the through hulls are located. I plugged these with corks and no more leaks. I installed check valves in the bilge pumps to solve this issue. The shower pump also overflows into the front bilge. I installed a check in this line to solve this mystery leak. There ya go.....

2005. No pics, West marine stocks the checks. The 2 checks for the 1 1/8" bilge pump lines are a grey PVC with 4 ss bolts & nuts. The 3/4" check is a one piece black one for the shower pump. The Grey pvc checks are actually a 1" od. I used some shrink wrap to make them fit 1 1/8". Works great. I would think you would want to mount them as far aft as you can. You may have to remove your engine hatch to get around the back of the headers with both hands for the bilge pumps.

Default New Info

I had one check stick open and.......more leak. Now I am going to move the thru hulls for the bilge pumps to a better spot up on the vertical transom. BTW I have put on the long merc K tabs..this did aggravate the problem.
