Fastech Footrest Removal
Do you replace the motor thru the 3" hole in the bottom step of the footrest or do you remove the entire footrest assembly? I did a search but didn't get a clear answer. Anyone know the ballpark price on the motor? 2001 353 (port side).
Thanks
Thanks

You can unbolt the entire assembly through the hole in the bottom step. There will be 4 bolts, one toward each corner. Much easier to work on that way. Check your switches first, heard they have been the culprit more often than the motors.

Reddog,
thanks for the reply. I did test the switch and it seems to work. I have a in depth explanation of what happened when I tested the switch in the old thread "how do I get bad el footrest upp", as well as a question about the switch itself.
