Default Porta potti

Does anyone know what model came with or will fit in a 92 223LS. I think the space is pretty much the same on all similar models of that era. A buddy had a new extra one that I tried, but it was way too wide. I figured they were all pretty standard, but the space seems very narrow and I'm not having any luck finding anything. My wife will be eternally grateful for any help. Thanks!

Measure what room you have and then go to the Thetford website (click on pottie!) and see what will fit. Check pricing on Ebay and other marine stores to find the best price!

Pottie!

Thanks. The issue I ran into is that most all of the Thetford units I looked at have the same general dimensions as the unit I tried (which I think is just a re-branded Thetford), so I thought it might have some with some other brand.

Having said that, I think I may have figured out whats going on. It looks like the units with the larger holding tank tapers at the base, which would hopefully allow it to fit, but the dimensions given are at the largest point, so I can't know for sure. I just need to find one in person to measure, or just go ahead and buy it and hope for the best.

Thanks!

Not sure what port-a-potty you are trying to replace, but the Thetford 775 is not available. I had to modify my base to accomodate the replacement porta-a-potty. The holding tank is much smaller than the 775. Here are some pics of what I had to change.

Port-a-Potty
OEM: Thetford 775 not available
Option: Thetford 735 Type III MSD ($135) must modify the base.

How about the Thetford 365 MSD instead of the 735 MSD (365 has a taller base)

******
UPDATE: I tried the Thetford 365 and the base was too wide (by about an inch) the 735 has less capacity and needs to have a base alteration to attain the height.

The 365 is the same height at the 775 (OEM), but an inch wider at the base. I'm thinking that I will alter the fiberglass insert to accommodate the wider base of the 365.

I'm considering a F206 LS. I won't get to go see it for a week. One of my questions is whether or not there is enough space for a small porta potty in the cuddy? Anyone have experience with this?

Does anyone know if the Thetford 885 will work without a modification to the location. I am being told that it is the replacement for the 775. The 885 looks just as tall but I can't tell what the taper is to make sure it fits in the location for my 89 223LS. Mine originally had the 775 in it. I can't seem to find any specs for the 775 anywhere.
