I had a '93 271 SR1 with 502 Mag. Boat ran 62 with full water tank, fuel and three people on board. For a 27 footer, ride is awesome. Mine ran best at 4200 RPM's, 47 MPH lots of positive trim and enough tab to keep the nose down.

I also have a 93 271 its runs 59mph, ride is great for a 27, as stated above 4000-4200 r's it really cuts the water nice with that 496 it should be in the 60-65 range, the 271 is a very heavy boat but the quality over your 24 outlaw will be worth it alone..

I have a 93 271 that is highly modified now, but it was a process.
with the boat stock except x dim. raised 2" and 550 hp, it went 72.
upgrade to 850 hp, same x dim. and setup, 80
raise the x dim. again, standoff box, eddie k planes, a lot of tweaking, we averaged 80 in a recent poker run with sustained top speed of 89.
This boat is unbelievably stable for it's size and is very impressive for only being a 27' boat.
