What is that John, your old 272? It's definitely not a Liberator!

No...this is 302 that I am using as a guide...Sides picked up on it quickly...not enough free-board to be a 255 Liberator.

Good call...it's 302 that is a blueprint for me. My 272 was grey and white.

On a side note...I spotted a 255 this week with TRS drives hanging off the transom...I nearly wrecked the truck turning around to check it out. Confirmed the big block option question. The owner bought it from the original owner 4 years ago. This boat has 420 horse 454's that have been gone through totally....turning 26" props through 1.34 TRS drives and fresh BW transmissions. Owner says he has seen 80+ with light load...70~75 is easy. We compared notes...he was especially interested in the Bravo conversion....told me the down side is heavy water (4'~6') over 50 mph the boat needs more bow to stabilize it at speed. The up side is the neck snapping acceleration due to the power to weight ratio. He was aware of the history...not many Big Block/TRS 255 Liberator combos built. This one is a '78 Yellow Miami Plant boat. Very Impressive...I am hooking up for a ride soon.

Hmm, guess I need to pay better attention! LOl.

Saw that picture and thought, wow! Drives on, new swim platform and painted over the name - that is progress! Oh well.

Just got in from working on my engine hatch cover. Trying to finish it up this weekend with all new vinyl and wood. Uploaded the first set of photos, will post them later on once everything is together. Also got the other long block assembled today, down to brackets and accessories.

Sprink, where did you come up with that nice swim platform? I've been looking for one for my 260. Let me know if you have a lead on one. Also you went alot further than I did. Nice job!!! I hope I get the power out of the single 502 that I expect.
