Looks to me like a classic case of the missing drain plug(s)

Not sure if Ive ever seen anything quite like this but this boat was a NW boat and one of the fastest around....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdLgh...eature=related

This was exactly 2 years before it sank:

Pics of it after recovery:

http://crashedtoys.com/ImageViewer.a...kNumber=524038

Now its for sale in the classifies for $45k....Hard to say what its really worth with only one engine and with so much of it having been under water...
Nice heading but not true and this did not happen the first day it went in the water nor when the "Rooster" video was made. The boat ran after this mishap for quite a while also as the insurance company totaled the boat after the owner had engine problems with a second engine and the insurance company totaled the boat rather than repair the motor.

The owner did not tighten the bolts on the access cover of the standoff box.

So then why label the thread as someone else's fault. Seems operator error was the cause but you tittle this

I never said it did. The boat sank July 2010.

Maybe my heading was misleading. I wasnt trying to imply the arneson failed in someway causing the boat to sink...It did sink because it had arneson drives which had access plates that werent tightened and caused the boat to sink. Point being if this boat had bravo's or #6 drives it wouldnt have sank BUT it clearly was operator error--no doubt about that.

If it has a standoff box with a loose access cover it would have sunk. Your title is more than misleading is is b.s.
