Formula Brochures and Performance Results
I know that you can go to the Formula website and download all the old brochures, but the performance data is not in these.
I have heard people discuss the performance data before (xxx model boat ran xxx-xxx mph with xxx prop), but don't know where to find it.
If anyone has these reports or knows where there are I would be interested in seeing them for 1986 or any of the mid to late 80's years.
Thanks

Formula as I see it does not build any pure performance boats. Probably this may be why these results are not openly published. My 382 is listed with State Farm as a Performance Cruiser. Thats a good thing when It comes to underwriting and premium dollars. When I was shopping for a boat a 38' fountain was 4 times the premium. for the same dollar value. Thank you Formula! Great boat, plenty fast enough 1400 hp (enough said), comfy, solid, Where else can you call and get a trim part for a ten year old boat from a mfg thats still around !

Carbiz,
Do you happen to know if the "350 mag perf" was the 300 horse tempest motor? In the 206, I thought the 270 horse mag would run close to 57, but the '87 results only lists 54.
I hit 64.5 on gps with my modified 350 vortec this past weekend in my 206 with a 23 laser II at 5200 or so.

Yeah, wasen't sure when the 320 EFI came out (87 or 88), I knew they had a carb version called the tempest previous to the EFI and was rated at 300 horse.
At anyrate, yeah that motor pushes that boat really well and the hull takes it no problem. I run consistently at 63gps and have seen 66 with a little tale wind.
Now I just have to build 2 of them and throw them in a 272 and I'll be pretty set for where I want to be!!!
