Default 97 SS252 454/330 hp MPI sluggish on performance

Wanted to see if anyone out there has an 252 SS with 454/330hp MPI, 26p Bravo III, 1:81 to compare numbers with. I'm experiencing sluggish performance, 4200 WOT with new motor. Computer says everthing is the way it is suppose to be,but I'm only getting 4200 RPM @ WOT, 51ish MPH. Guys @ Formula tell me I should be getting 4600 RPM 57+ MPH. Do not want to sink ton of money or take away reliability but would like to get to lower 60"s MPH @ 4600 RPM. Any ideas?

Did the guys at formula tell you what prop came with the boat for that motor?

Is this a brand new motor or a rebuild? What did it run before?

With the base 454 motor I would think mid 50's is all you would see.

It's a re-manufactered motor and it came with the 26p props, the motor is 30 over. Other than that eveything is the way it came from Formula.

Don't know how it ran before, crank was spun when purchased.

A 24" propset should get you up in RPM's whether you gain any speed ?????
