Default Fastest a single 271 SR1 has gone?

What is the fastest a 271 SR1 has gone single engine and what kind of power was in it to achieve the speed?
How did it handle if it went over 80?
Did it have trim tabs and external steering?
Looking for feedback on a 1995 model if anyone has had that lineage with 7-800 HP.

Mine is a 93 271. It had a blown 502 with 803HP. It was a 80 mph boat. Now it has a custom 496 stroker motor in it and it's a 71 mph boat. I never experienced chine walk but I have heard others had. Yes to tabs and yes the steering.

A buddy is installing a twin turbo setup on his 271 and we wanted to research what others had experienced with this hull. Power won't be as much of an issue as handling.

Correct that was indeed a 272 sr1

Spoke to Ian last week he had a steady 102 mph boat with full hydraulic steering, shorties and about 600hp a side
