fixx
it was a built 509, had some dart heads on it, carillo rods, eagle crank, etc...well all those parts are junk now. the previous engine builder (a marine efi specialist im told, and i did talk to the builder) put 3 different pistons in it...not sure why. i could assemble the top end probably, but i dont want to buy a bunch of new parts, easier for me to put in a used 502 if i can find a decent one.

Sorry guys i havent been back in a while. I just got done with the interior, pics going up in a minute. its still in storage as we speak. its coming out saturday (hopefully) and getting a detail, and a motor going in it. i dont have any current exterior pics, but i can send some from last year (hasnt changed i guess...) anyone interested can email me at [email protected] Ill let it go still for the right price, if i dont sell it, ill use it again this summer as i have a 500 EFI coming for it.
BTW no powersource didnt build it, it was Performance Marine somewhere out of new york. I learned up dis-assembly that the motor had 3 different pistons in it, WTH? Ateco has it now, thats another story though.

Yo Marv..one doesn't "punch out" a 454 to a 502. You can stroke and bore to a 496 fairly readily. That takes care of the cast crank, rods and pistons. If its a gen 6 it should be a 4 bolt block. Then add some decent heads, a new cam, valvetrain, exhaust and intake......... PS you now have spent more than a 502 would have cost you in the first place unless you have a lot of buddies with a lot of spare parts.
