Default 292 Fastech weight

Any chance someone has the weight of a 292 and triple axle trailer. Looking at a few, but want to make sure my truck is capable. Thanks for the help

Fully loaded on the trailer you are looking at 10K lbs. give or take a few pounds.

My 1500 GMC extended cab 4x4 handles my 292 fastech with dual axle eagle trailer with no issues. It also has the 4.8 engine.

About 10k loaded, Not trying to start a OSO towing debate but I used to tow with a 1/2 ton Nissan Titan till I bought my dually. The Chevy will be a little better than the Nissan but you still will be at the trucks limits. Make sure your trailer brakes are working correctly.

Wow, I am surprised they are 10k sitting on an aluminum trailer. I know they are wider than the 272's, but people say the 272 feels bigger in the cockpit. My 272 on a steel loadrite dual axle trailer I think came in a 8,000 lbs. Will have to check my records, but am pretty sure it was 8,000 lbs.

All the more impressive that these things weigh 2,000 lbs more, are pretty much the same length, yet run 6-8 mph faster for the same HP. Never would have guessed those numbers...

I don't tow on a regular basis, but I use a '99 Ram 1500. Longest tow was when I moved 800 some miles, but no issues with the triple axle and electric over hydraulic brakes.

So minus 700 pounds for fuel, but not sure if my twin axle steel trailer that would fit a 30' boat weighs less than a triple axle aluminum. so about 1300 to 1500 pounds more than an old school 272 LS with Alpha's.

Anyway you slice it, that is quite a bit more glass and such. Impressive strength and speed increase given that info. Strong hull and no wood stringers to rot!
