Default Step Plates Revisited!

So as it turns out, Formula is not looking to retail the Step Plates, but to install them on new boats. With that, I have had several inquiries about doing another run. This is to check a pulse and see if there is enough interest to proceed.

First off, the previous pricing has gone to the wayside because of production and material cost. After I find out how many sets we will be producing, I will get a price and see who wants to really buy. I'm estimating somewhere between $400 and $450 for the set shipped to a US address. PLEASE read the previous thread and know what you are getting. JUST THE STEP PLATES NOT POLISHED, the cup holders, backing plates, and handles are separate and can be purchased from Bill at Diamond Perfomance (302) 521-0123.

These are quality built custom pieces and now the surfaces are protected during the machining process, so polishing will take much less time.

The Thread: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...ates-done.html

Post here if you are interested and I'll update you as we go. This is not a short process, so it may be a few months to go into production.

Thanks,
Dave

Just an FYI.....the handle and backing plate are not compatible to a 382 boat.

This is a great interior upgrade! Here is a pic of the install in my 292. There is enough distance between the handle backing plates and the step, so no need to trim the backing plate.

On the 353 the backing plates need to be cut. Same on the 382?

Not sure about the 382, but as you can see in the picture below from my 353, you only need to trim off just a little corner of the backing plates to make them fit. I bought the handles, cup holders and backing plates from Bill @ Diamond Performance.

No....the two mounting surfaces are not the same "level". The plate couldn't be used at all, and I did think about milling down the handles on one side but never did. See below.
