Default 1988 formula 29 pc info

Does anyone know the wot on a 29pc running 7.4 twin bravos? Has no ac/gen. Props are 16's 4 blade Appollas. Also...does anyone know where to purchase the amber lighted toggle on/off switches? I cant seem to find them. Much help appreciated. Mike (I gave up trying to register to formulaboats.com)

I am thinking about 50 with everything set up optimally. Those are nice boats...I spent a weekend on one years ago and I can tell you they handle rough water very well and have a very functional layout.

Then something wrong, hitting 41 wot at 4600 rpm. Bow does seem low. Planes nice without tabs. Maybe bravo1 a better choice? What size people running?

That is about right for the boat speed wise Dtile and you are in the HP range. If you want a little more speed (assuming you are working with twin B2s) you can grab a pair of the 3 blade elephant ear props from Merc. With your boat you prob do not need twin 4 bladers.

Email Steve btw to get that forum issue figured out.

The four blade may be pushing the bow down and creating drag. I would try Mirage or Mirage Plus. Formulas like to get up on top with the bow up a bit to run their best.

Those boats typically have odd gear ratio bravo 2's. a much larger diameter prop setup. Mirage pla isn't going to work to well I don't think. The stock merc 3 blades work well or swap to bravo 3's.

The b1's are 1:50 and counterotate in. Just think 16s are a strange pitch. Thought cruisers like the four blades... I have 23 lab miages laying around..shame they wouldn't work. Yes. Feel like I need more bow lift..bravo 1 prop did well on my Sdi...just never heard of appola props. I miss 68mph! But thoses days are over.

What's the diameter? 16 is a very small pitch. You're positive there bravo1's?

I thought that would have twin B2s but if you have B1s try picking BBlades brains with all your performance data. They might be able to dial you in a little better prop wise. 16 is very weird if you have 1.5s. Usually with twins you can spin a higher pitch.
