Also depends on what you consider reasonable. Some people wouldn't pay what I paid but I thought it was a bargain. What can you buy new for 12k, a waverunner? and I didn't want some rotted, worn out project at any price.

Yeah, was a total fluke that I found it. I am in Detroit area, seller was in West Virginia. Found the craigslist ad using searchtempest. There were no lakes by this guy so that section of CL was sparse, and I was lucky enough to see it 2 days after he posted it

When I was in my early 20's a local marina had a 206ls in palm beach colors, I used drive out there a few times per week to sit in the boat and dream, couldn't afford it then. Needless to say the first time I hit the water it was like living that dream.

The first ride in mine was like that too! I hopped from pachangas to formulas for a couple hours while I waited for my parents to decide which boat to buy in the showroom. I was only around 10 years old but I already knew I wanted them to buy a go fast! I was super disappointed when they came back to get me and said they bought a 1985 18' thompson. In the end It did teach me a love for the water though. Cheers to making dreams come true!

I had a 1989 206 LS and absolutely loved it.... She could take a beating and arguably the best ride on any boat 20ft and under... Unfortunately, Hurricane Irene swept her away.... Now, I am fully enjoying my 242ss with eyes on a 311 in the near future!

Stupid hurricane.

Yes, for a 20 footer the ride is awesome. When I take people out who own bigger boats they are shocked at how quiet and smooth the ride is.
