Boat cover questions for 272 LS
I am looking at buying a whole boat cover for my 272. Right now I have a fitted black canvas cockpit cover, but want something better for the few nights a year it is out of its garage spot.
What is out there? My boat sits out when I have it home in the drive, or if I take it camping with us up north. Not much exposure, but would like something to protect it when I have to leave it outside.
Do people tow with the full cover on, or just the cockpit cover?
What brand do people recommend for my limited use?
Of course the big question, how much? Can I get something decent in the $300 range?
Has to match one of the yellow, grey, or black colors. Picky about my bird.
Thanks for any help,
Brian

Bought my Carver, semi custom here, and fits nicely. Do not tow with mine now, I have had vents installed to let out more heat. I also bought 2 and 3 inch PVC caps to place over ladder and bow light. One must is keeping up on the 303 to repel the dust and water. I use a garden sprayer to spray the cover with 303. I used the 8 oz poly material, purchased in July 2010, still using today, only it has faded, TX sun!!

Bought one for my 89 272 SR-1 last Spring from www.boatcoversdirect.com. brand is Carver. $464 including tie downs and tent pole and straps to bow and rear corners. It fits pretty good. I recommend buying 2 tie down kits. One isn't enough for trailering. Comes in multiple colors including all 3 of your options.

Thank you for the responses so far. It is nice to have known good recommendations on something that fits.
Masi, thanks for the heads up, but I picked up a pair of bolsters from a scarab excel last year for $650 I think. Excellent shape with stands and hand rails. I do not have the money to put the mcleods in it at $600 + $400 each to recover + repairs + shipping on that set.
