I'm pretty sure it was a scam and he would have left it up and collect as many "deposits" as he could! I'd say he got called out on it.

yep.....screams scam! Unless the buyer (who seemed to be a dealer) bought it legitimately and when it gets relisted on his site next week for full retail he doesn't want people referencing the low price on the ebay ad....... buy low/sell high on a high profile boat has been done before by this dealer!

story- got to wire, leaving country, was my dad's boat now mine
price- 1/3 of what it should be priced at = stupid people looking to lose $18,500 fast.........priceless!

Maybe the story was true, "you know the best lie is the truth told unconvincingly!"

Wire sent, $18,500 = two first class tickets out of the country!
