Pay him/them with American Ex, reverse charges next day
That is terrible work. The crease will go away with sun, however that work is too loose in general and will never tighten up.
I agree to contact formula and see what they offer. The vinyl is relatively cheap, rebuilding that foam and backers may get pricey.
What are you local laws? I know in NY you can't keep the property, only take the buyer to court. My car dealers run in to this problem all the time on repair work. My customer last week had a woman come to his shop with the cops to pick up her car that had a $2200 repair bill because she could not pay. Cops let her take the car. Maybe go demand you seat foam and backer without the new vinyl and move on?
On a side note I had my vinyl done 3 years ago, last year some stitching came out and they fixed for free.

Tell him to enjoy his $1700 seat with the sh*t job vinyl. He won't be able to sell it ever.
Buy a new seat from Formula or check with Mcleod (as others have mentioned)

Pretty sure I could do a better job completely wrecked on Tito's. NFW I'd pay for that job.

Maybe wrapping your truck in vinyl advertising how crappy his work is and showing up at the shop, in the truck, to pay him will change his mind : ......and throw the dealer on there as well and stop there first! what a bunch of crap

have a feeling after what's already transpired the guys only gonna take cash or check.
you can stop pmt on the check but get there first, the local po-po ain't gonna look kindly on a rubber one for $1700

I wouldn't pay for it either. Even if it cost me more overall I'd rather pay for a new sub structure and get it done right. Then spend plenty of time posting all over the internet what QC work this guy really does.
