Just picked up a 1989 Formula F 223 LS
Good Morning Everyone,
I am new to the forum but have been reading ton's of posts from here over the years. For the last few months I have been searching for a boat for the family. Finally picked one up 5 weeks ago after looking at a numerous amount of overpriced junk in my area, this baby fell into my lap and I could not be happier. She came with all the necessary gear required for boating and a 2002 Venture Trailer. I have yet to get all the information together about the engine but this is what I have so far...
1989 Formula F 223 LS
454 Merc Mag/Bravo 1
Bottom End Work
Aftermarket Heads
Aftermarket manifolds
Aftermarket Exhaust
Aftermarket Intake
Aftermarket Carb
Aftermarket Cam
4 Blade 24P Prop
GPS 66.7 MPH @ 5150 RPM w/ Full Tank and 4 People
Aftermarket Stereo
Alpine Amp
10 Speakers
Alpine Equalizer
Garmin GPS with Sonar
2 Covers
All extra maintenance items (Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fluids, etc.)
Dual Batteries with Switch
All she needed was a good deep cleaning, a good compound/polish/wax, batteries charged, and a trim switch. She is now fully operational and squeaky clean. I highly recommend Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for the interior with a good vinyl protectant. The interior is like new now.
I picked this up in Baltimore one day after work for $4,800.00 with trailer from Craigslist. The seller was outstanding and very helpful.
I will be modifying the silent thunder platform this winter and will post my journey on doing that. We have put over 30 Hours on it since I purchased it and are loving every minute of it. Unfortunately I cannot post pictures yet, but here is a link to my Photobucket. Most of the pictures are from the day I picked it up and a few outings over the weekends.

I am hopeful for a warm welcome to the forum and look forward to interacting with everyone over the years. Thanks!

Thanks Funnone. The carpet currently installed is definitely an eye sore and I was planning on replacing that this winter. I will definitely check that place out as the price is extremely attractive.
