Default 1994 Formula 252LS - Whats it Worth

What do you guys think this is worth? It seems high? http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/boa/4641283712.html
It seems to be in very good shape, but this is an old boat. Your thoughts?

NADA says about 15K. I know this is only a guide, but 23.5k is high. It is a buyers market, end of season, and there are a looot of boats for sale so shop around.

Are you looking for this particular model of boat or did it just catch your eye? Those model Formulas have a shallower deadrise angle (18 degree) and will ride rougher (pound) than most other Formulas. They are roomy and if you are on a more protected lake then they are fine, bigger water I would look for a 24 degree hull, for instance a 271.

Really what I would like is a 27 formula with single engine. NO twins.. Cant afford that... The price range is what I liked about the 252LS and it was a newer Formula then an 80's style... I am having a hard time finding any right now..

Not sure if you know, but the 271 is a single, started in 93 I think. You maybe thinking of the 272, that is the twin engine from the 80s. The asking price of that 252 should get you a nice clean 271 with a 502 in it.

Great.. Can you find me a 271 SR1. I thought the 271 was a fastech. The fastech is out of my leaque as most are priced around 40000.00 I want to spend around 20-25000. Any one know of any 271.

Sledfreak,

If you are interested in the 252 model I have 1 for sale. I am looking to go bigger 32 formula.

These are great boats and ride really well, even in moderate water.

Let me know if your interested, I can send you pictures and info.

Thanks

Hi Sled - I have a 1995 252 LS that's in great shape. I sent you a PM. Oh, and yes, that seems a bit high.
