Height of a 353 fastech on a trailer
Can someone measure their total height of a 353 fastech on the trailer. Ground to top of windshiled. Im looking to see what size garage door it can clear.
Thank you in advance

Thank you thunder! Wow im suprised it is a the same as the 30 outlaw and lower then a 31 Scarab (8'6") I measured. Looks like it can clear a 9' door. Not by much but can clear. I figured it would be a little taller since the 353 has a tall windshield, compaired to OL and the scarab
Thunder Im guessing your a trip axel trailer with 16" rims? Have a photo of your boat? I just like to see boats also, LOL!

I am pretty sure that our 353 w/Eagle trailer and 16" tires is higher than the 30' Outlaw on 14" wheels. We are on the left and 30 Outlaw on the right, use the fuel pump heights as comparison. This station in Vermilion, OH (on Route 60 exit off I-90) has 89 ethanol free "boat gas" by the way if anyone is looking

There are tons of variables.
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/b...er-advice.html
Different trailers can have the exact same boat be 6-12" difference in height pending their construction and components. The above linked thread lists some of those attributes.
All trailers are not created equal.
Also, just squeaking in/out once a season for winter storage you can do tricks to get in lower clearance. Lower air pressure, use a tractor bucket to lower hitch coupler to ground; and or dig out the (gravel) driveway as such that the rear tires on the truck dip just as the windscreen (tallest portion of boat) passes under door.

Nice Pic Voodoo!!!
Yes i know there are a ton of variables. That is why I started the thread. I figure we could get a couple 353 owners and see what they measure in at.
Also, no this is not for squeeking in/out of winter storage.... Next spring I'm breaking ground for a new 22'x45' boat shed (it has to be under 1,000 sq ft max). The GF said I have to have a shed to keep the boat, snowmobiles, & the V in before I go bigger Right now the baja sits out side with a cock pit cover. I was going to get the concrete slab down this fall but the weather turned to cold to quick up here in Mn.
So now starts the planning. One thing I want to plan for is a tall enough door. A shed side wall to fit a 9' door is pretty easy/simple planning . However if I have to go 10' (witch i would like) the cost takes a big jump, plus the extra sheathing for the walls. One thing I am looking at is doing a double block, that will give me a few (8) more inches.

Our 353 sleeps on a Magnum trailer with 16 inch wheels. The door height is 10 feet. Don't forget, you will need clearance for your electric door opening mechanism.
