Anyone have a 353 Fastech on a 10000lb lift?
I'm looking at purchasing a house that comes with a 10,000 LB lift. I know it's close, but is anyone using a 10k lift for this boat?

I was shopping for a lift last year for our boat and everyone told me 10k was too small (r&g, Hewitt, sunstream, shorestation). The next step up was 12k and all three of them recommended this size. My boat is listed at 8500lbs dry.

Probably not the best idea, you might be able to have a lift company in the area add a small tank in the middle to give you the extra lift you need, a friend of mine did it at LOTO a few years back, it was cheaper than buying a new one, if it's a old crappy lift it may be better to get a new one anyway, good luck.

Bigger is always better, but here is what I have to work with. Sandy damage was never repaired, so I have work to do anyway.

Should not be a big deal to add another motor forward and extend the lift. You could add a Myco cradle and be all set. As long as water depth is not an issue, configure it to back in, so you can work on your drives/props; and protect them from theft a bit better.

I live in Lanoka 2 blocka from the water. Keep my boat on my elevator lift in Forked River. A great guy to work with in the area is Tye from Borel Docks for any marine construction or boat lifts. Tell him Tom with the Formula and GMCs sent ya.
