How cranky or temperamental?
Hey guys the trs transom assemblies on the 311 I got are junk. So I'll be starting from scratch. One thing hanging me up from converting to kaamas is I've never driven them. I've driven Blackhawks and had no qualms with them yeah they take a little longer to get on plane etc but not bad. Are the kaamas picky or take forever etc??? Just looking at input before I make a decision.

They are not bad. My 302 would come up at 2500. Once the wheels grab good water the boat just takes off. The larger the diameter the happier they are. Not like a conventional drive but once set up they are almost bullet proof. Not a lot of moving parts in them.It will require re rigging the height of your power as the input shafts are very low. Outer rear corner of the oil pans are about 3/8 of an inch from the inner hull of the boat. I may still have the set up dimensions for the in and out puts of the transmission. I gained 5mph just by re-rigging mine when I first got it. No changes other than set up properly.73 to 77.8 with roughly 400 per side at that time. Turning 17x29 with 1;1 gear ratio
