Help with 311 cockpit cover
Called a couple local places they want to charge us $1500- $3,500.00 to have one "custom" made. Formula factory was no help. This makes no sense to me I can purchase a full cover online for under $500. Looking for any options, experience etc. Thanks!

Yes, custom covers will be expensive. However they are normally the best material and come down lower on the hull and have extra material on the "stress points" than online covers. I do not trailer with my cover on since vents were added. Here is a Carver "online" semi-custom, with vents added after the fact:

Great point! I'll try that after its out of storage.
What I'm finding out is it so expensive because they don't have a "pattern" therefore they can call it custom made in other words much more expensive.
I'm hoping somebody chimes in and says yeah go here they have a pattern for it haha. Thanks for the
replys!

As an aside, I know you probably don't want to make a bigger deal out of a cover than it already is...but if I were you I'd look into cigarette style covers. those formula snap buttons are garbage. with salt and water in general, the snaps corrode and either pull out of the boat or out of the cover. Worth the money to change it over. Nows the time. Just my 0.02.

We used wd-40, silicone spray, and Vaseline. it was a pia to constantly monitor and apply. Forget to apply a couple times and you need jaws of life to pull it apart.
